The top is cut with a nod to a jacket in feel with its dramatic pointed collar and button cuffs on the sleeves

Sequins are hand applied and the seams French finished

I love how the stripes line up perfectly where they meet between the top and skirt too

The seam work is all done on the curve and the dress is extraordinarily well made

The fabric is a golden brocade that has pale blue leaves woven through it. Bits of the golden backdrop show through the leaves making for interesting plays on the light as it hits the dress from different angles! The cut through the body is fairly straight with just a hint of an A line as it nears the hem. The sleeves I love they each widen as the near the elbow and are quite wide
